Research connections made visible

What is this?

biofx.dev is a knowledge graph browser for computational biology research. It tracks relationships between papers, software tools, datasets, and benchmarks to help researchers discover and understand the landscape of bioinformatics tools.

Intended to evolve towards a community-curated resource useful to automate benchmarking and building of pipelines, by integrating publicly available information like software repositories, packaging indexes and article cross-references.

Features

  • Paper Discovery: Browse scientific publications with their relationships
  • Tool Tracking: Find software tools and their versions
  • Relationship Mapping: Understand which papers introduce, evaluate, or use specific tools
  • Timeline View: See the publication history and evolution of tools

Technology

Built with Rust, powered by a modular file-based store, and rendered as a static site with Tailwind CSS and Vue.js for interactivity.
